The NDIS is the National Disability Insurance Scheme. To learn more about the NDIS please visit https://www.ndis.gov.au/. To determine whether your child is eligible to receive NDIS funding support, please visit https://www.ndis.gov.au/applying-access-ndis/am-i-eligible. Once your NDIS access is approved, the National Disability Insurance Agency (NDIA) will contact you to begin the planning process.
There are 3 ways to have your NDIS funding managed:
Self managed:
You manage the financial and administrative aspects of your plan and funding. You can choose your own therapists who do not need to be registered with the NDIS. Deborah Thomas Occupational Therapy service fees CAN be reclaimed from your NDIS funding.
Plan managed:
The participant can engage a business or organisation to manage their funding on their behalf. You can choose your own therapists who do not need to be registered with the NDIS. Deborah Thomas Occupational Therapy service fees CAN be reclaimed from your NDIS funding, via the agency managing your funds.
NDIA managed:
Your therapists must be Registered NDIS Providers to access this type of manged fund. As Deborah Thomas is NOT a Registered NDIS Provider, you CANNOT claim your occupational therapy service fees from your NDIS funding if it is managed by the NDIA.
